Katy Perry's Racist Geisha-Themed Performance At American Music Awards: Video

By Robert Paul Reyes

"Katy Perry dressed up as a geisha for her rendition of Unconditionally during the American Music Awards and some of the viewers thought her act was slightly racist.

The 29-year-old singer is being accused of  `appropriating Asian culture` for her Sunday night performance in which she donned a pink kimono accompanied by heavy eye make up and traditional dance."

Hmm, slightly racist? How about blatantly racist!

I guess Perry thought that what was good for the goose is good for the gander, if Miley Cyrus got away with appropriating African American culture by twerking at the MTV Video Music Awards, then she could appropriate Japanese culture and dress up as a geisha.

By the way I don`t think the obscene form of dancing known as twerking represents black culture. But the fact that too many blacks are proud of twerking is evidence of a deep pathology in the African American community.

Katy Perry`s American Music Awards performance was as offensive as a white person donning blackface and singing Mammy.

Judge for yourself, what do you think?
