Lost Pooch In A Doggy Wheelchair Reunited With Owner

By Robert Paul Reyes

"A disabled dog from Miami who made the news after he was found wandering the streets in a doggy wheelchair has been reunited with his owner.

The dog, a 7-year-old male Schnauzer named Puppy whose back legs are paralyzed, was found walking around in northwest Miami-Dade, using his custom-made wheelchair that supports his hind legs, The Miami Herald reported."

It`s hard to muster compassion for a homeless wheelchair-bound wino, crack addict or mental case even during the holidays.

But when Puppy`s sad plight was featured on several media outlets, thousands of hearts melted, and some folks even called the TV stations offering to adopt the pooch if the owner wasn`t located.

But the dog`s owner, Mireya Fernandez, who was on vacation in Cuba, saw the news coverage of the lost dog in Havana.

Mireya is thrilled to be reunited with her lost pooch, and she gave her beloved pet a microchip implant for Christmas.

Moral of this story: If you are a homeless wheelchair-bound citizen wandering the streets of a big city: Good luck to you pal. Steal a warm coat.  But if you are a lost wheelchair-bound pooch, kind-hearted folks will come to your rescue.
