Yule Log Program: Christmas Programming At Its Best: Video

By Robert Paul Reyes

"The traditional `Yule Log` program is available online and through digital cable television in the United States through Jan. 2, its distributor announced.

The image of a glowing log on a hearth, accompanied by traditional Christmas music, can be viewed for free at and through video-on-demand for Xfinity, Cox Communications, Cablevision, Time Warner Cable, Bright House Networks, Cablevision, Midcontinent and RCN cable systems.

The original televised `Yule Log` has been airing on broadcast TV since 1966."

The Yule Log program is more entertaining, edifying and exciting than most of the programming on the broadcast networks and cable.

Most of the reality shows, sit-coms and dramas on TV render you slightly queasy, but there is nothing more, relaxing, comforting and therapeutic than an image of a glowing log on a hearth accompanied by Christmas music.

The Yule Log program is TV at its minimalist best, and it will be the backdrop for millions of Christmas dinners this year.

Stop Keeping up with the Kardashians, and laughing at Honey Boo Boo and her redneck clan, at least for the holidays, and turn your TV to the Yule Log program.

Merry Christmas to all my readers!
