Customer Finds Dead Frog In Salad From Pret A Manger

By Robert Paul Reyes

"A Wall Street Journal employee had made it about halfway through a nicoise salad from Pret A Manger when she made a discovery that would leave most people feeling a little green -- a two-inch long dead frog in the lettuce

restaurant

The woman brought the salad back to Pret A Manger location where she purchased it and received a refund, a voucher for a free lunch and an apology from the store manager."

Pret A Manger is a restaurant focused on gourmet, ready-to-eat food; its clientele is composed of snobbish one-percenters. A real person wouldn`t know a nicoise salad from a bale of hay.

I don`t know if this woman was feeling green, or seeing green from a potential lawsuit, but I could care less about her.

The store manager shouldn`t have apologized; an apology is an admission of guilt. He should have charged extra for the unexpected bonus of a frog in her salad.
