Colorado Tot, 2, Tests Positive For Marijuana: Video
"A toddler from Longmont, Colo., has tested positive for THC, the active ingredient in marijuana, just days after the drug became legal in the state.
The mother of 2-year-old Evelyn, Aida Hernandez, thinks that her daughter may have eaten part of a pot cookie she stumbled across in the grass outside of their apartment."
Aida Hernandez, the child`s mother, claims she doesn`t smoke marijuana, and a police search of her home came back clean for marijuana.
The recreational use of weed is now legal in Colorado, but if will be nineteen years before little Aida can legally munch on a pot cookie.
All types of cookies, brownies and other food products laced with marijuana are now legal in Colorado, and parents need to be especially vigilant that children don`t accidentally eat them.
No charges were filed against the mother, the police believed her claim that she doesn`t some weed.
Come on Colorado, let`s make the legalization of marijuana a success, and make sure your children don`t accidentally eat any weed.
