Pope Francis: The Internet is a Gift from God! Video!
"`The Internet, in particular, offers immense possibilities for encounter and solidarity. This is something truly good, a gift from God.` Pope Francis
No, your holiness, quotes like these are the gift.
In this papal statement released Thursday, the pope throws his considerable influence behind the idea that social media, and the other tools of the Internet, can be one of the means to unite the world and perhaps rectify the gap between the rich and poor "an emerging theme of his papacy. We should not overlook the fact that those who for whatever reason lack access to social media run the risk of being left behind,` he said."

Pope Francis has a heavenly gift for dispensing pearls of wisdom. His quote about the Internet being a gift from God is almost as golden as his " Who am I to judge?" remark in reference to gays and lesbians.
Fascists, whether they are politicians or clerics, fear the Internet, and they are constantly attempting to censor or restrict free speech online.
But Pope Francis recognizes that social media is a tool for promoting democracy and breaking down the walls of tyranny and oppression.
The pontiff isn`t granting us a holy dispensation to watch porn and search for naked pics of bimbo celebs; he`s appealing to our better angels to use the Internet, and social media in particular, to crusade for justice and income equality.
Who would have thunk that the pope would become a hero to atheists, liberals, and freethinkers?
