Dude Faces Felony Theft Charge for Stealing Hot Dog

By Robert Paul Reyes

"An Indiana man has been arrested and is facing a felony theft charge after he allegedly stole a $1.49 hot dog from a Bloomfield convenience store on Monday, Feb. 10.

Rickey Joe Moore filled a cup with a fountain drink then reached into the rotisserie and pulled out a hot dog, then placed the hot dog into his pocket. For some reason Moore paid for the drink, which cost $1.10."

You pay an arm and a leg for the convenience of buying snacks at a convenience store, but that`s no excuse for shoplifting.

Convenience store clerk: Is that a hot dog in your pocket, or are you just glad to see me?

Thief: Oh, I`m sorry, I forgot about the hot dog I put in my pocket. I was intending to pay for it.

I hope Moore is sentenced to a few months in jail, let him enjoy a steady diet of bologna sandwiches instead of delicious convenience store hot dogs.
