McDonald's Offering $12 Burger in Switzerland

By Robert Paul Reyes

"It`s now possible for fast food fans to get a $12 burger from McDonald`s -- all they have to do is head to Switzerland.

The company has started selling `The Prime,` a 6.3-ounce Swiss beef burger topped with `rustic mountain cheese," bacon, coleslaw, arugula and special sauce as part of the chain`s new Signature` lineup."

I wouldn`t pay twelve bucks for a burger at a ritzy restaurant, and I certainly wouldn`t pay that much for a burger in a fast food joint where the seats and silverware are plastic, and the ambience reeks of old people smell.

For $12 the special sauce`s prime ingredient should be caviar, and the burger should be served on a silver platter.

McDonald`s in Switzerland is also introducing fries that are flat and round like chubby potato chips. That`s nothing short of sacrilege; no I don`t want round fries with my $12 burger.
