Outrage: Library to Host UFO and Bigfoot Lecture! Say No to UFO Tomfoolery!
"UFO and Bigfoot researcher and author, Stan Gordon, will present Strange Encounters of Pennsylvania, during a program at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Carnegie Free Library in Connellsville.
Gordon said he will discuss the history of UFOs, Bigfoot, and other strange incidents and phenomena that have occurred in and around this area, as well as statewide. He will also give an update on recent strange encounters that he has been investigating."
I realize that in this digital age a library is practically an anachronism, and librarians must think outside the box to attract visitors, but presenting a UFO and Bigfoot lecture at a library is an abomination.
A library is a place to expand your mind and learn new subjects; it shouldn`t be a place where you fill your mind with junk science and tomfoolery. (That`s what TV is for.)
Stan Gordon should be a guest on a radio program that deals with the paranormal like " Coast to Coast AM", but he should be anathema and persona non grata in a library.
I realize it`s a lost cause to keep UFO nonsense from the Internet, but for God`s sake a library should be a UFO free zone!
