Outrage: 'Mrs. Doubtfire' Sequel in the Works: Video

By Robert Paul Reyes

Mrs. Doubtfire was a smash 1993 comedy film starring Robin Williams and Sally Field, it`s rated No. 40 on Bravos`s 100 Funniest Movies of All Time.

Twenty years ago Williams was at the pinnacle of his career and everything he touched turned to gold, the 62-year-old comic should be enjoying his golden years in an Old Folks` Home for Retired Thespians.

A Hollywood producer high on crack has decided to film a sequel to the classic comedy and it doesn`t take a rocket scientist or a film critic to predict it will bomb big time.

Mrs. Doubtfire won an Academy Award for Best Makeup, but this time around Williams won`t need any makeup, he looks like a decrepit old lady already.

Mrs. Doubtfire costar Mara Wilson has stated she wants nothing to do with the sequel. "Sequels generally suck unless they were planned as part of a trilogy or series. I think Doubtfire ended where it needed to end," she wisely declared.

Let`s hope Williams realizes that his comedic timing is off by at least two decades, and he will reconsider his plan to star in the sequel.
