Residents, Tourists, Merchants, Kooks Enjoy Pine Bush UFO Fair: Video
"As a result of supposed unusual sightings, during the mid-1980s (and especially following the publication of Silent Invasion: The Shocking Discoveries of a UFO Researcher, by Ellen Crystall), Pine Bush developed a reputation as the UFO capital of New York."
Even folks who don`t know a flying saucer from a Frisbee recognize that Roswell, New Mexico is the undisputed UFO capital of the world.
But most people don`t know that Pine Bush, New York is recognized by UFO buffs and by local Chamber of Commerce types trying to cash in on tourist dollars as the UFO capital of New York.
The population of Pine Bush is less than 2,000, but last year the annual UFO Fair attracted 7,000 true believers and jokers who will use any excuse to have a good time.
If you are abducted by a flying saucer today, don`t be surprised if you are beamed down in Pine Bush, for today the residents and tourists are enjoying the UFO festival.
Today there are no skeptics in Pine Bush, the merchants and the local politicians are singing praises to the UFO Mothership and the Almighty Dollar.
UFO Fair: April 24, 2013 Pine Bush, New York. Food, Music, Vendors, Costumes, Street Parade, and a lecture by Linda Zimmerman, author of Hudson Valley UFOs ant the Pine Bush Library.
I close with two thoughts: The UFO Fair should have been held on 4/20, and has anybody else noticed that UFO conspiracy theorists have taken over our public libraries?
