Distilllery Raises Pigs to Taste Like Whiskey
"Just when it seemed like there was no way to make eating bacon an even more excessive experience, some folks in Iowa came up with a way.
The Templeton Rye Pork Project was started at the Templeton Rye Distillery in the hope of raising pigs that will taste like whiskey.
The 25 purebred Duroc pigs in the project were born in January 2014 and they are subsisting on a diet that incorporates distillery grain into their food. "
The good folks at the Tempelton Rye Distillery must have been drunk on Jack Daniels when they came up with this brilliant idea.
You can`t improve on perfection, pork smells and tastes delicious and it`s quite simply anathema to tamper with the taste of this heavenly product.
There is no need to imbue pork with the taste of whiskey, you can enjoy bacon or ham with your favorite beverage, be it beer, champagne or whiskey.
If I was starving and God rained down manna from heaven, I would eschew the heavenly offerings and demand bacon or at least pork rinds.
The purebred Duroc pigs should be fed bacon instead of distillery grain. Bacon on Bacon, that`s what I`m talking about.
