Is Molly Kate Kestner, 18, the American Adele? Video

By Robert Paul Reyes

"When 18-year-old Molly Kate Kestner first started putting videos of herself singing on YouTube, it was mainly as a way to stay in touch with friends and family. Now, thanks to an original song that`s gone viral, she`s on her way to becoming an international sensation.

It`s easy to see why - listen to those pipes! Those vocals were enough to get Kestner attention from celebrities, national media and record labels.

The song really went viral when `Star Trek` star George Takei shared it on his Facebook page, saying: Has America found its young Adele? I`m nearly breathless from listening."

Oh My! George Takei is spot on; Molly Kate Kestner is the American Adele. We desperately need an American version of Adele to counter the likes of Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, and Nicki Minaj. Enough with the shameless publicity stunts, auto-tuned ditties, and lyrics that glorify materialism, controlled substances, and stupidity, it`s time for talent to rise to the forefront.

As talented and gifted as Adele may be, she can`t save the music industry by herself; we need to promote talented young singers like Molly Kate Kestner.

I just had a horrible thought: In a few years record company honchos will have Molly twerking, flashing Illuminati signs and " accidentally" flashing her nether regions.

Oh God, let`s hope Molly remains artistically pure like Adele.

Listen to Kestner`s song, I guarantee you will buy her albums when they are released.
