Journey Frontman Steve Perry Performs for First Time in 19 Years: Video

By Robert Paul Reyes

"Fans at The Eels concert Sunday in St. Paul, Minn., were treated to a rare performance by former Journey frontman Steve Perry.

The 65-year-old musician last performed solo in 1995, and last performed with Journey in 1991. He has had health problems in recent years, but made a surprise appearance at the Fitzgerald Theater over the weekend."

Steve Perry was the lead singer of the rock band Journey in the 70`s and 80`s, and he also had a successful solo career in the 80`s and 90`s.

Perry has no equal in pop music, with the possible exception of Freddie Mercury, when it comes to his divine and powerful vocals.

Perry may not have performed since 1995, but I have never stopped playing his records. Perry may be 65 and in poor health, but he can still bring the house down.

Welcome back Steve Perry, you have been sorely missed!
