Mother Left Shocked And In Tears At School's Drama Awards Ceremony

By Robert Paul Reyes

"A Washington drama teacher has apologized after she conducted a profane awards ceremony that included jokes about priests having sex with children and sex toys.

A parent attended the ceremony at Bellingham High School with her 17-year-old daughter and complained to administrators about veteran teacher Teri Grimes.

`I sat there with my mouth open in shock and the final straw was when a joke was told on stage about a teacher, a lawyer and a priest on a plane. The plane was going down and the teacher says we have to save the children. The attorney says `[expletive] the children` and the priest says "OOOOH..Do we have time for that???" the parent wrote in an email to KOMO News. "

There was just too much drama at the drama students` end-of-the-year awards ceremony. This is probably the most attention the nerdy drama club has ever garnered.

The drama teacher may have gone a bit too far by handing out sex toys, but the joke about the lawyer, priest and the teacher was spot on.

The mother was in tears and in shock at the awards ceremony, methinks she should have received an award for her performance.

This incident is much ado about nothing, the teacher plans on retiring at the end of the year. I wonder what kind of retirement gifts she will receive?
