Cracker Barrel Fires Vietnam Vet for Giving Beggar a Muffin!

By Robert Paul Reyes

"A 73-year-old Vietnam veteran from Florida says he was fired from his job at Cracker Barrel for giving away a muffin -- a reason that doesn`t seem good enough to many customers, the Daily Mail reports.

Joe Koblenzer admitted he`d been written up multiple times in the past for similar incidents, and he says rules are rules."

When I choose a restaurant to dine at, I take the quality of the food and the ambience into account. Even if you dine at a gourmet restaurant your dining experience will be ruined if the homeless are allowed to enter and beg for food.

Joe Koblenzer may be a senior citizen and a veteran, but that doesn`t entitle him to break the rules. This scofflaw has been written up multiple times in the past for giving away muffins to beggars.

Joe is doing a disservice to his employer and to the paying customers by encouraging the homeless to beg for food at Cracker Barrel.

Joe worked as a host at Cracker Barrel, but he thought he was freaking Santa Claus. Joe has plenty of free time now, maybe he can volunteer at a soup kitchen.
