Watch as Koala is Revived with Mouth-to-Mouth CPR

"A koala that got hit by a car is alive and recovering after rescuers in Melbourne administered CPR to save the small mammal.

Witnesses saw the koala survive being hit by a car before retreating into treetops where it passed out from its injuries.

The compassionate rescuers had to toss the animal`s dying body from the tree into a safety net before massaging the area around its heart and administering CPR.

I love animals but I would be hesitant to administer mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to a koala; I`d be afraid that he would bit me on the face.

Kudos to the rescue squad for going through all that trouble to save a koala, they realize that all creatures great and small are precious.
