Obama's Coffee Cup Salute Outrages America! Impeach Obama! Video!
"As the president landed in New York for the U.N. General Assembly, some say he `too casually` saluted Marines upon his exit from the presidential helicopter, Marine One.
The internet is up in arms this morning after what Twitter is now calling the #lattesalute. The Huffington Post details a number of angry people on Twitter who are criticizing the president.
CNN points out that it has become tradition for presidents to salute the military officers he encounters when boarding the official helicopter, a tradition that is widely understood as begun by President Ronald Reagan in 1981."
When Obama stepped off Marine One in New York City on his way to the United Nations, he was wearing shades and holding a cup of coffee, as an afterthought he casually saluted the US Marines, while still holding on to his precious cup of Joe.
Obama should have ditched the sunglasses, handed the cup of coffee to a flunky, and exhibited proper respect for our warriors.
If a private saluted an officer with such a lazy and disrespectful salute he would receive a tongue-lashing at the very least.
For the commander-in-chief to salute Marines in such a slovenly manner is unacceptable and unforgivable.
Obama is no slouch when it comes to exhibiting proper etiquette; he bows down before Chinese dictators and Saudi royalty. Perhaps if the Marines had been holding copies of the Koran, Obama would have done due diligence.
Obama should be booed when he speaks before the United Nations, and he should be impeached by the Senate for a myriad of reasons, including abuse of executive power.
Failing to salute Marines properly is a powerful symbol of the inefficacy and incompetence of the Obama regime.
