Emu Surprises Residents in Sheffield, England

By Robert Paul Reyes

South Yorkshire police said residents of Beighton ward in Sheffield, England, called police Thursday morning to report an emu wandering outside their homes and officers arrived to keep the flightless bird out of the streets."

Police were able to locate the bird`s owner: A local farmer who had recently taken possession of the emu.

The aura of mystery may be gone from Sheffield, but peace and tranquility has been restored.
