Hotel Sued Over Lost Cat by Family Traveling with 17 Felines & One Dog: Video
"Jeffrey and Shoshanna Johnson checked into a Residence Inn in Central Islip with their 17 cats and one dog, but they had to leave without Cotton the kitty, who was hiding somewhere in the suite. Then Cotton was taken home by the hotel manager before disappearing for good, according to the lawsuit. The Johnsons are seeking at least $150,000 in damages."
New York Daily News
I don`t want anyone dismissing the Johnsons as kooks for checking into a Residence Inn with their 17 cats and one dog. Residence Inn has commercials depicting giraffes, elephants and penguins staying in their hotels, they are definitely giving the impression that they are a pet-friendly hotel.
Residence Inn had the unmitigated gall to slap the Johnsons with a $460 bill for Cotton`s unplanned two-day stay after they had left.
This is no laughing matter; it`s nothing short of a catastrophe. Poems and songs will be written about the saga of Cotton the Missing Kitty.
My heart bleeds for poor Cotton, and the Johnsons, but most of all for that poor pooch, he has to live with 17 cats, make that 16 cats.
