Thank God for Dogs and First Responders

By Robert Paul Reyes

"An ambulance transporting a man with complaints of dizziness was stopped en route to the hospital and flagged down by another motorist, because a Beagle was clinging to its running board.

Buddy the dog, a 4-year-old 35-pound Beagle mix, hitched a ride on the side of the emergency vehicle to stay with his owner, J.R. Nicholson."

This story illustrates the loyalty of dogs and the vital role first responders play in our society.

This story could have had a tragic ending, thank goodness Buddy managed to cling to the running board.

Nicholson is back home with Buddy, and hopefully they won`t have any more epic adventures any time soon.

"Buddy " is a most appropriate name for a pooch, a dog is a friend that sticks closer than a brother.

I hope this story will inspire you to adopt a dog from your local animal shelter, and motivate you to thank the next first responder you see.
