Foods You Shouldn't Feed Your Dog on Thanksgiving: Video

By Robert Paul Reyes

"It might be tempting to slip the family dog some of your Thanksgiving dinner scraps, but there are a lot of foods on the typical Thanksgiving table that aren`t great pet food, can be really harmful to dogs."

Most pet owners consider their dogs  a part of the family, they might hide their crazy uncle in the attic or basement, but their pets will join them at the Thanksgiving table.

Only a real Scrooge would feed their pooch dog food on Thanksgiving, my dog Mandy usually eats more turkey than I do.

However some of the items on a typical Thanksgiving spread can be harmful or even deadly for our pets.

Turkey is perfectly acceptable, but don`t give your dog meat that contains bones. Never give your canine companion onions, it can be deadly.

For God`s sake don`t serve your doggie alcohol, you may think it`s funny but it can lead to coma or death in canines.

Dogs are people too, so go ahead and pamper your pooch on Thanksgiving, just exercise some common sense.

Watch the video below for a more complete list of things you shouldn`t feed your dog.
