Dude Left Auto Accident to Get Away from Yelling Girlfriend
"A man fled the scene of a Sunday night accident because he did not want to be yelled at anymore by his girlfriend, according to city police.
David Scarpa was having a verbal argument with his girlfriend when he put his vehicle in reverse and struck a utility pole at Iris and Clover avenues around 11 p.m., police said."

Scarpa turned himself to the police the next day, explaining that he left the scene of the accident to get away from his yelling girlfriend.
When a man crashes the most important possession in his life, he expects some sympathy and understanding form the second most important thing in his life.
Can any rational human being blame this hapless fellow for fleeing the scene of the accident to get away from his hectoring girlfriend?
Unfortunately, the cops charged Scarpa with leaving the scene of an accident and reckless driving. (They must have been female cops.)
