"Ashley Graham stars in a new campaign for Swimsuits for All.
The 27-year-old will become the first plus-size model to be featured in Sports Illustrated when the magazine runs her ad in their annual swimsuit issue. Graham is a size 14, and an active proponent of size diversity in the media."
It`s about time ...
It`s not just rappers who like "thick" women, many men prefer curvy ladies. Heroin chic females aren`t my cup of tea; I`ll take a voluptuous Kate Upton over a thin as a rail Kate Moss any day of the week.
The addition of one normal-sized beauty in the Sports Illustrated (SI) annual swimsuit issue, in an ad, isn`t going to start a social revolution; if SI wants to really make a statement Ashley Graham should grace the cover of their swimsuit issue.
I really don`t want to promote the sexist swimsuit issue, after all what the hell do string bikinis have to do with sports? But if Grace is selected as the cover model, I would urge everyone to buy the issue to support female body diversity.
