"Organizers of Florida`s Duck Derby said some 300 people waded into a pool filled with 6,000 rubber ducks for the chance to win prizes worth up to $5,000.
Adopt-A-Family, the charity behind the event Sunday at CityPlace in West Palm Beach, said blindfolded participants fished ducks out of the pool, and each duck was marked on its underside with a bar code that determined whether the duck-picker won a prize."
I enjoy relaxing in my bath tub with a rubber ducky, but wading in a pool with 6,000 rubber ducks would be sensory overload.
Being in a pool with 300 rubber ducky loving freaks would be a nightmare that would render me psychologically damaged for life.
It was all for a good cause, but I think I would rather just write a check to the Adopt-A-Family charity.
