"A rare white lion cub was recently born at a zoo in southern Brazil.
Two-month-old female cub Clara is reportedly in good health.
She was rejected by her mother shortly after birth, but zookeepers in Santa Catarina have been feeding the cub every few hours."
Clara may have been rejected by her mother, but she has a dozen surrogate mothers (zookeepers) tending to her every need. Once people get a gander at this beautiful cub, I predict she will become a social media star.
Clara is in a pen isolated from the zoo`s other lions, but she will be reintroduced to the pack when she`s a little bit older and able to defend herself.
White lions stick out like a sore thumb in the wild, making them easy prey for predators and hunters. But in the zoo Clara is destined to live a long and happy life.
If I ever travel to Brazil I will visit the Santa Catarina zoo before I check out all the hotties at the beaches.
