Woman, 91, Gets $148 Ticket for Making Too Much Noise With Her Rocking Chair

By Robert Paul Reyes

"Police in Saguenay, Que., say they are withdrawing a $148 ticket issued  to a 91-year-old woman for making too much noise with her rocking chair.

Police ticketed the woman after a neighbour complained on April 17 about being irritated by the sound of her chair and the volume on her TV.

Saguenay lawyer Charles Cantin called the way the police handled the situation embarrassing, and alleged officers unnecessarily intimidated his client."

In my younger days my neighbors narced on me for rocking too loudly, but that was for having my stereo at an ear-piercing level, not for a squeaking rocking chair.

As for the allegation that the old lady had the volume on her TV on at full blast, cut her some slack, at 91-years-old everyone is freaking deaf.

Haters are gonna hate, I hope granny keeps on rocking!

Canada isn`t exactly a crime-ridden nation, but don`t cops have better things to do than to harass an old lady?
