"Bruce Jenner has posed for his share of magazine covers over the years, from Sports Illustrated to GQ. But now, the former Olympian has landed an upcoming cover of Vanity Fair, Jenner`s first print photo shoot and interview since revealing in April that he is transitioning from male to female, multiple sources tell PEOPLE.
Legendary photographer Annie Leibowitz will shoot the cover, an industry source says.
Jenner, 65, who calls his female identity `Her` will appear as a woman in the Vanity Fair pictorial, to hit stands this summer, the source tells PEOPLE." People Magazine Anybody who is familiar with the Kardashian/Jenner clan`s insatiable thirst for publicity isn`t surprised that the patriarch (matriarch?) of this reality family is squeezing every drop of publicity out of his transition from emasculated male to a trans female. Bruce Jenner`s transition has dominated the first couple of episodes of "Keeping up with the Kardashians", and an upcoming documentary/reality series will chronicle every step of Jenner`s evolution from male to female. Now Bruce Jenner as a woman will grace an upcoming cover of Vanity Fair, and of course he chose none other than celebrity photographer Annie Leibowitz to shoot the cover. Since going public with his plans in an interview with Diane Sawyer on 20/20 in April, Jenner has been lavished with praise from clueless celebrities, besotted fans, and enabling family members. Leave it to this contrarian blogger to strike a discordant note, and point out that the Empress isn`t wearing any clothes. In my humble opinion Jenner`s transition from male to female is an elaborate publicity stunt, and a desperate attempt to find legitimacy as a woman. Jenner`s ex-wife emasculated him and relegated him to the role of a befuddled bystander; this is his way of reclaiming the spotlight. Enjoy your day in the sun Brucie, but don`t expect all of us to heap praise on your vain and indulgent publicity stunt.
