Toddler Gets 'Parking Ticket' in Viral Photo

By Robert Paul Reyes

"A photo of a young Halifax resident upset over his first parking citation is getting plenty of love online.

Halifax police Const. Shawn Currie wrote a ticket for Declan Tramley, 3, after he spotted him illegally stopped on his red plastic motorcycle.

The photo shows Tramley holding one hand on his forehead in grief while Cst. Currie kneels and scribbles the fake ticket."

Halifax Regional Police shared the photo on Facebook and Twitter, making viral stars out of young Declan Tramley and Constable Shawn Currie.

Constable Currie performed a valuable community service by demonstrating that police have a sense of humor, and he also taught the little boy an important lesson: Life sucks and he can look forward to a lifetime of real parking citations.

Blue lives matter, respect our men and women in blue who risk their lives everyday as they serve and protect their communities.
