Waxed Floor Repeatedly Foils Cat's Jumping Attempts: Video

This video begs the question: Why is this cat desperately attempting to jump into his elevated cage? Anybody who owns cats knows that they are fiercely independent creatures who hate to be confined.

When I put my cat in a cat carrier for a trip to the vet, she caterwauls non-stop until I finally take her out of the carrier so the vet can examine her.

Cats are agile athletic animals, but the wax acts like kryptonite robbing the animal of his leaping ability. The hapless cat manages to jump just a couple of inches off the floor, he reminds me of yours truly trying to dunk a basketball.
