"A California man who ushered his wife and kids out of their home during an apartment complex fire said his first thought was to save his barbecue ribs.
Robert Wright, ribs in hand, gave an interview to KMPH-TV after the fire at his Fresno apartment complex and told the reporter he was barbecuing at 3 a.m. when the fire erupted at the apartment next door.
`The only thing I think first is make sure them ribs is right and I ran over and got my family man,` Wright said."
Anybody who`s barbecuing ribs at 3 a.m. loves him some ribs, it`s not surprising that this man thought about saving his barbecue ribs before he entertained the idea of saving his wife and children.
A man`s gotta have his priorities in order: Ribs, wife and children, then God and country!
Wright was interviewed holding on to his precious rack of ribs, he wasn`t about to let a firefighter or a neighbor steal his ribs.
Neither Wright or his wife and children sustained any injuries, and more importantly his ribs weren`t damaged by the smoke or fire.
