`Don`t worry if I write rhymes, I write checks, Sean Combs` once rapped. That advisory still holds true: Diddy earned $60 million over the past year, more than any other hip-hop act in the world.
Though he rarely performs these days, Diddy captures his latest Cash Kings crown thanks to the fruits of a reputation forged in music: TV network Revolt, clothing line Sean John, alkaline water brand Aquahydrate and Ciroc vodka, the last of which brings in the bulk of his bucks. He`s also said to be readying new album No Way Out 2, and no matter who writes the lyrics "a hot topic in hip-hop these days "one can assume the record will get plenty of attention. "
I`m not a fan of rap music, and I`m surprised that Forbes named Diddy the highest-paid hip-hop artist of 2015.
Diddy hasn`t had a concert tour in years, and the last time he had a hit he was called Puff Daddy. But I guess we shouldn`t be surprised that Diddy rakes in the money, he has a reputation for ripping off the artists signed to his label. Danity Kane members Aubrey O` Day and Shannon Be allege they never received any money while signed under Diddy`s Bad Boy record label.
Screw Diddy or Puff Daddy or whatever name he goes by today, I don`t wear his clothes, I don`t drink his water, I don`t buy his vodka, and I sure as hell don`t buy his albums.
