Brady, a 4 month old Golden Retriever, takes daily showers and baths entirely on his own. He climbs into the shower on his own, plays in the water, gets out, dries himself with a towel, and then takes a nap.
Giving my pooch a bath is not something I look forward to: It`s a herculean task to hold on to the leash as I lather her, and rinse her with the garden hose. When I dry her with towels, she violently shakes her head soaking me from head to toe. After I finish bathing her, I feel like taking a long nap to recuperate from the exhausting ordeal.
You can` teach an old dog a new trick, so I`m not going to try to teach Mandy to take a bath on her own. But I really envy the owner of Brady, the 4-month-old Golden Retriever who takes a daily shower with no assist from her owner.
I don`t blame Brady`s owner for being proud of his Einstein pooch.
