Don't Forget Your Pets on Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a time to thank the Lord for our manifold blessings; it`s the season to reconnect with our extended family over Thanksgiving dinner, and a day to heap blessings on the less fortunate.

Sorry, I will stop channeling Oprah, and break it down: On Thanksgiving we have a divine dispensation to pig out! Thanksgiving is all about stuffing our faces with turkey, apple pie, sweet rolls, macaroni salad, ham ...

In families that include cats and dogs, the pets partake in the gluttony. My 25-pound cat, Tico, may weigh 30 pounds by the end of Thanksgiving day.
