Longing for a White Christmas in Virginia

By Robert Paul Reyes

Christmas Eve in Central Virginia: The first winter snowstorm nowhere in the horizon, temps in the 70`s, T-shirt and sandals kind of day ...

I don`t know if I should blame the Grinch or Global Warming, but there`s something rotten in Demark when we`re cursed with a beautiful warm day on Christmas Eve in Virginia.

My Christmas decorations are up, Bing Crosby is crooning about White Christmas on the radio, but can you blame me for not being in the Christmas spirit?

I`m getting ready to drive to my sister`s house for Christmas Eve dinner, maybe after I`m stuffed with turkey, ham, yams, and sweet potato pie I`ll be in the Christmas spirt.

But I doubt it; I`m just not feeling it. I need divine help or at least a little encouragement from my readers. Please send me an email wishing me a Merry Christmas or a yuletide greeting on Facebook.

I wish all of my readers a White Christmas
