"A Scottish animal rescue is looking for a home for an unusual pet -- a larger than life rabbit the size of a small dog.
The Scottish SPCA said the 7-month-old continental giant rabbit, Atlas, was taken in by the charity`s Glasgow shelter after his owner could no longer properly care for him.
Anna O`Donnell, the shelter`s manager, said Atlas is the size of a west highland white terrier and he still has some growing to do."
Atlas must be a descendant of the giant rabbit that traumatized former president Jimmy Carter back in 1979.
Jimmy Carter`s rabbit was labeled a "killer rabbit" by the press, but Atlas is a big cuddly baby. Atlas may look a little bit intimidating because of his large size, but the only danger that he poses is that he may kill you with affection.
I hope and pray that Atlas will be adopted by a genuine animal lover, and not by someone seeking to exploit him for financial gain.
