Fourth Annual Easter Dog-Gone Egg Hunt for Dogs a Howling Success!

By Robert Paul Reyes

"The Ohio SPCA and Humane Society held their annual Dog-Gone Egg Hunt. They covered the lawn in toys and treat-filled plastic eggs for dogs to find and enjoy. For just five dollars, all dogs and their companions were able to participate and had a chance to win raffle prizes and gift baskets.

There were over forty dogs who participated in Saturday`s activity. All proceeds from the event go to benefit the care of abused or homeless animals."

Easter has officially gone to the dogs in Lima, Ohio, and that`s a good thing. Parents celebrate Easter with their children by taking them to Easter egg hunts organized by churches and civic organizations. Why shouldn`t dog owners take their cherished pets to an egg hunt for pooches organized by the SPCA?

We should celebrate all our holidays with the persons and companions that we love the most, whether they are our children or our pets. On Christmas I always fill stockings with treats for my pooch and cats, and on Halloween I dress my cats as ghosts, goblins or pumpkins.

Holidays are a time for family, friends AND pets, give your pooch a treat this Easter.
