Air France Stewardesses Furious Over Order to Wear Headscarves on Tehran Flights

By Robert Paul Reyes

"A number of female Air France stewardesses reacted with outrage when the airline informed them that they would be required to wear headscarves and `loose fitting` clothing in Iran when flights to Tehran resume later this month, according to union representatives.

Company executives announced the new rules to Air France staff via a memo stating that female flight attendants will have to wear trousers during the flight with a loose fitting jacket and a scarf covering their hair on leaving the plane once flights to Tehran resume April 17, Pillet said.

The Blaze

it`s one thing to respect cultural and religious diversity, it`s quite another to force liberated female Western flight attendants to wear scarves and loose fitting clothing so as not to offend the tender sensibilities of Muslims.

Why not forces the male flight attendants to get with the program and grow beards, as a show of respect for Islam? Why not mandate that the captain say "allahu akbar" over the public address system at the start of every flight to Iran? Why not segregate the males from the females, surely Muslims will be outraged if they see males and females mingling? Why not ban pork on all flights to Muslim countries?

Air France shouldn`t compel their female flight attendants to wear humiliating uniforms, this is political-correctness run amok. Air France should demonstrate to the Muslim world that in a secular democracy we treat women equally, and we don`t make them cover their femininity.

Democracy and liberation and not theocracy and the dehumanization of women should prevail in the cabin of every Air France airplane.

Is it any wonder why the French have such a huge Muslim problem?

Freedom loving people should boycott Air France until they do away with this odious requirement that robs their female flight attendants of their individuality and freedom.
