John Kasich Drops Out of Presidential Race

By Robert Paul Reyes

"John Kasich is dropping out of the Republican presidential race, two sources familiar with the plan confirmed to CNN.

Kasich`s decision came after he improbably became the last challenger to Donald Trump, who emerged as the presumptive GOP nominee Tuesday night when Ted Cruz dropped out.

Even before winning his home state of Ohio in March, Kasich was facing pressure to get out of the race, with no clear path to victory. His campaign never became more than a spoiler run, designed to keep Trump from getting the 1,237 delegates needed to win the nomination before a contested convention"

John Kasich was never more than an asterisk, the only ones who will mourn, or even notice, the end to his quixotic run are his family and close friends.

Kasich had one bright shining moment when he won his home state of Ohio in March, and he milked it for all it was worth, throwing himself a confetti shower, and acting as if he had just secured the nomination.

Kasich was mathematically eliminated from contention months ago, he`s nothing but a big fat zero. The governor of Ohio had no plausible path to the nomination, his only prayer was to prevent Trump from acquiring the required 1,237 delegates, and then hope that in a contested convention the delegates would ignore the will of the electorate and turn to the loser who only managed to win his home state.

Drop dead loser, go home to Ohio and try to make amends  with the fine citizens of Ohio for ignoring your day job for almost a year.
