100-year-old Woman Shatters 100 Yard Dash Record

By Robert Paul Reyes

"A South Carolina woman set an unofficial record in the 100 yard dash just days after her 100th birthday.

Ella Mae Colbert, a retired school teacher from Chesnee, broke the previous record of one minute and 16 seconds set by fellow centenarian Ida Keeling when she completed the dash in 46.7 seconds on Tuesday.

Colbert began her attempt at the record by stumbling on her first attempt shortly after leaving the starting line, before being patched up with a bandage and trying again."

If I live to be a centenarian I`ll be happy if I can walk ten steps to the bathroom without soiling my drawers.

It`s an epic achievement for a 100-year-old woman to complete the 100 yard dash without having to make a pit stop to use the restroom or to get oxygen.

Colbert may have fallen at her first attempt to set the record, but she gave it another go, and she managed to remember where the finish line was located.

You go girl!
