"The parents of the boy who fell into a gorilla enclosure - resulting in the death of 17-year-old silverback Harambe - have been issued with death threats.
Staff at the zoo in Cincinatti, Ohio, shot the endangered primate fearing four-year-old boy Isaiah`s life was at risk.
Now couple Michelle Gregg, 32, and Deonne Dickerson, 37, have been blasted by those angry at the endangered animal`s tragic death.
One Twitter user wrote: How about blaming the f*****g numb-nut parents. Shoot them not the Gorilla.
`I`m pro animals. Take better care of your 3yr old F*****G KID you lazy son of a b***h. Shoot the parents first then the gorilla. Rant over,` wrote on furious tweeter."
This is a follow-up to my article:
Worldwide Outrage After Harambe the Gorilla is Murdered by Zookeepers
The murder of Harambe the silverback gorilla, an endangered species, isn`t a one-day story that will quickly be supplanted by another outrage du jour.
The outrage against this senseless murder continues to build, and it`s focused primarily on the criminally negligent parents.
The zoo shares the blame for imprisoning the apes in the first place, and for failing to make the gorilla enclosure idiot-proof. But it`s the behavior of the parents that makes my blood boil, and my rage won`t be soothed until they face criminal charges.
The concept of shame has disappeared from our culture, there is no shame in anything, and nobody takes personal responsibility for their mistakes, unwise choices, and downright crimes. Are you a drug addict? That`s a disease, no need to feel shame. Do you eat like a freaking pig? Don`t let skinny people body shame you! Do you have seven children by seven different fathers, and living on welfare? Don`t let religious people judge you, there`s nothing wrong with being a sexually adventurous individual.
There`s only one sin that a politician or a celebrity can commit that will immediately and irrevocably ruin their careers, and that`s child molestation. Otherwise they can commit any crime under the sun and it won`t have any effect on their reputations or careers.
The Internet is responsible for a lot of societal ills: It`s used as a tool to recruit terrorists, it exposes young children to pornography, it`s gives everyone, including racists and fascists, a platform to promulgate their views ...
But thank goodness that it`s also done some good, when society fails to punish evildoers, it`s a great forum for shaming them.
Nobody deserves to be shamed more than the parents of the idiot kid who sneaked into the gorilla enclosure, resulting in the murder of the mighty ape.
Michelle Gregg, and Deonne Dickerson are their names, and they deserve every ounce of vitriol that has been heaped on them online.
Death threats are unlawful and immoral, but otherwise they deserve to be humiliated online.
If this contemptible couple ever makes a public statement, I`m sure they will claim that they are being vilified because of their skin color.
Crying racism is the last refuge of a scoundrel; we hate you with an undying hatred not because you are black, but due to the fact that your parental neglect led to the murder of Harambe, the gorilla.
