"An alligator shown in a viral video as its hops a fence at a South Fort Myers golf course is a celebrity of sorts among the golfers there.
Still, an employee of the club says the gator would be removed if it poses a safety threat."
I knew that alligators were swift simmers and that they could run like the wind, but I never imagined they could climb fences as well. There is just no escape from these predators -- reason #101 to stay away from the Sunshine State.
This alligator makes frequent appearances at the country club, and members call him "Tom." I don`t care if an alligator is called "Snuggles", I`m going to give him a wide berth.
Thank goodness I live in Virginia where you won`t find any alligators swimming in pools, knocking on doors, or climbing fences.
