"Donald Trump`s controversial call for a `great, great wall` on the US-Mexico border has yet to be realised but a tiny, tiny one has been built instead - surrounding his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The 15cm high concrete wall is topped with razor wire, miniature US flags and includes `Keep Out` signs written in both Spanish and English.
It was created by LA-based street artist Plastic Jesus and was inspired by comments made by the Republican Presidential nominee last year when he outlined plans to build a wall along the US-Mexico border to stop illegal immigrants."
Plastic Jesus is a genius, his wall around Trump`s Hollywood Walk of Fame is a masterpiece.
On a practical level Trump`s star really does need a wall to protect it from citizens who have demonstrated their outrage at Trump`s racist and misogynist comments by vandalizing it.
On a metaphorical level the miniature wall illustrates the absurdity of Trump`s plan to erect a wall on the US-Mexico border.
If Trump becomes president (God help us) the damn wall will never be built, and if by some miracle it is erected, it will be useless in preventing undocumented workers from crossing the border. Migrants desperate for a better life will go under it via tunnels or over it using ladders.
Although If Trump wins the election a wall may be needed to keep Americans from fleeing the country.
