On Sunday, July 31st the 2016 Teen Choice Awards saluted Chris Evans with the award for Choice Movie Actor: Sci-Fi/Fantasy as Marvel`s first Avenger Steve Rogers in Captain America: Civil War, which was also named Choice Movie: Sci-Fi/Fantasy.
The third installment in the "Captain America" film franchise, "Civil War" finds Rogers and armored billionaire Avenger Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey, Jr.) on opposite sides over superheroes registering with the government: making the Avengers go from united as `Earth`s Mightiest Heroes` to divided as Team Cap and Team Iron Man. Not only that, Cap, the world`s first super-soldier, becomes the shield for his long-lost best friend Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), who may or may not be responsible for a series of crimes that includes the murder of the father of T`Challa/Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), the world`s first black superhero.
Grossing over $400 million dollars domestically, Captain America: Civil War went on to raked in over a billion dollars worldwide: helping the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) assembled over $10 billion dollars globally.
Since 1941, Captain America remains a living legend: the ambassador for duty, patriotism, life, liberty, democracy, and justice. A kid from Brooklyn who doesn`t like bullies, Captain America is the superhero for the little guy: a good man who knows compassion, the good guy who doesn`t have a dark side, the real red-white-blue shield that is willing to pay the high price to defend freedom against the forces of tyranny, cruelty, and corruption.
