Felines are masters at taking catnaps, they are liable to plop down anytime and anywhere to take a nap. More than once my 25-pound kitty Tico has plopped down on my face while I was taking a nap.
Cats generally sleep on their fronts - being predators they don`t sleep in a position that leaves them vulnerable, and if they sleep on their fronts they will be ready to pounce on a mouse that foolishly comes to close to them.
