"Was Donald Trump inciting violence against Hillary Clinton when he spoke last Friday about disarming her bodyguards? Tim Kaine, Hillary Clinton`s vice presidential running mate, says so.
So what was Donald Trump`s supposedly threatening statement?
`She`s [Clinton`s] very much against the 2nd Amendment... I think that her bodyguards should drop all weapons. They should disarm, right?... Take their guns away. She doesn`t want guns. Take theirs and let`s see what happens to her. Take their guns away. OK? It would be very dangerous.`
Trump`s comment was obviously rhetorical. He was not actually advocating that her bodyguards be disarmed. He was pointing out that doing so would be absurd and very dangerous. "
I can understand why Tim Kaine would distort Donald Trump`s statement, but why is the press twisting his words?
The mainstream press went absolutely bonkers when Trump made this fairly innocuous statement, you`d think he had put out a hit on Hillary.
Let`s get real, the Donald doesn`t do nuance or subtlety, if he wanted to incite one of his followers to kill Hillary he would have bellowed: Why don`t one of you put that old hag out of her misery and blow that 2nd Amendment-hating bitch to hell!
I agree with the Fox News reporter: Trump`s comment was rhetorical. He was pointing out the absurdity of trying to neutralize the Second Amendment, and the hypocrisy of a politician who wants to disarm private citizens surrounding herself with Secret Service agents who are armed to the teeth.
Trump`s rhetoric is a bit overheated, Hillary doesn`t want to ban the Second Amendment, but she is opposed to it. Hillary has vowed to appoint Supreme Court Justices who would restrict the right to bear arms.
I don`t advocate killing Hillary, but let`s send that awful hag to her retirement, and vote for anybody but her.
