To the Rising Sun

To the Rising Sun

By Subash Lamichhane

Anything hollow no beauty will bring

Filled with sorrowful tears

But we remember our family as everything

That`s precious, loving, and dear

Love we once had from fathers and mothers

Faded with sisters and brothers

Without them, we have lost their touch

We miss them like all the others

To the rising sun we feel touching our face

You make us dance all around

Now everyone knows that we have been found

To cherish your warm embrace

The past so harsh is lost and deserted

But when showered by your rays

From deep in our hearts, we promise you sun

Our love for you shall not fade
