Judyth Piazza chats with Amy Hollingswoth, Author of Gifts of Passage

Amy Hollingsworth gave up her beloved college classroom at the University of Mary Washington several years ago to writeThe Simple Faith of Mister Rogers, a tribute to her dear friend and mentor, Fred Rogers. She has yet to return to the classroom, where she taught psychology and business as an adjunct, in order to focus on writing full time.  Her new book, Gifts of Passage, hits bookstores this month.   

Amy has appeared on Living the Life, WGN`s Morning News, PBS`s A Word on Words, and At Home Live!, as well as a number of national radio programs. She has a master`s degree in counseling psychology and a bachelor`s degree in English. She lives in Fredericksburg, Virginia, with her husband Jeff and their children, Jonathan and Emily. She has written for various magazines, including ParentLife, and was a writer for eight years for The 700 Club television program.
