Who is Elizabeth Brunnette?

Who is Elizabeth Brunnette?

By W. C. Hewitt

Twenty years ago I fell in love with a woman who would turn out to be the perfect embodiment of Elizabeth Brunnette however, it would take another three years before the completion of her first adventure in the final pages of my first novel Deceit.

I decided to bring a sense of reality to the work by capturing the emotional, psychological and physical duress of an early 20th century heroine. Working within the backdrop of real historical events and choosing the terrible incompetence of a budding industrial age, adventures would amass that would eventually lead up to the ill fated maiden voyage of the Titanic.

In order to introduce her into modern times I chose the guise of a tenacious and incorrigible reporter who after discovering her diaries is drawn into an addicting timeless enigma and into a modern intrigue of his own. There is a unique balance that bridges the two generations along with an influx of skin of your teeth adventure that makes a perfect literary chemical blend.

As time progresses and history unfolds, so ensues the adventures of Elizabeth Brunnette.
