Billy Dee Williams Lando Calrissian to Star Wars fans has worked in the film industry since 1959. He was born April 6, 1937, in New York, New York. He attended the New York City High School of the Performing Arts as an adolescent before starting his acting career.  Williams spent the next several years doing small television and film roles and the occasional off-Broadway play. His first major break came in the Emmy-winning television movie Brian`s Song (1971), and he then starred opposite Diana Ross in Lady Sings the Blues (1972). After several more parts, both onscreen and off, Williams won the role of Cloud City`s Baron Administrator Lando Calrissian in The Empire Strikes Back. He reprised the part three years later in Return of the Jedi.
In 1989, he played district attorney Harvey Dent in Tim Burton`s Batman; more recently, Williams has appeared in The Ladies` Man (2001) and The Visit (2001). Music written and performed by D. Fenominal http://www.myspace.com/dfenominal
